Restoration Technician — Part-Time (20+ hrs/week)

About the Role

When a pipe bursts or a basement floods, we're the team that shows up. ATC Restoration is an IICRC-certified water, fire, and mold restoration company serving Long Island and NYC. We're looking for a hands-on Restoration Technician to join us part-time — 20+ hours per week, with hours that flex based on job volume and emergency calls.

This is real, skilled trade work. You'll learn industry-standard restoration techniques on the job from certified pros — experience that transfers anywhere in the trades.

What You'll Do

• Respond to water damage emergencies: water extraction, flood cleanup, and sewage cleanup in residential and commercial properties
• Set up and monitor professional drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers) and take daily moisture readings
• Perform controlled demolition — removing wet drywall, flooring, and insulation
• Assist with mold remediation, including containment setup and HEPA cleaning
• Document job conditions with photos and notes using our mobile app
• Load, organize, and maintain company vehicles and equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers on some of the hardest days of their lives

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record (required)
• Able to lift 50 lbs, work on your feet, and wear PPE including a respirator
• Reliable, coachable, and able to follow written procedures and checklists
• Available for flexible scheduling, including some emergency response calls
• Restoration experience NOT required — construction, general labor, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, moving, janitorial, or warehouse backgrounds transfer well
