DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

Job Title: Senior Forklift Mechanic
Pay: Up To $50.00/hour for Senior-level candidates with 10+ years of forklift experience
Additional Opportunities: Up To $32.00/hour for technicians with 5+ years of equipment, automotive, or related mechanical experience
Duration: Direct Hire

Description of Duties: Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul forklifts and related material handling equipment. Inspect equipment to identify mechanical failures, repair or replace damaged and worn components, and perform preventative maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments. Disassemble and reassemble equipment using hand tools, power tools, and hoists; repair and fit bearings and other mechanical components; and test completed repairs to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Read and interpret service manuals, technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment specifications to accurately diagnose and complete repairs.

Requirements: Senior-level candidates must have 10+ years of mechanical experience with specific hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing forklifts. Associate degree, vocational/technical school training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred. Candidates should have advanced troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, mechanical repair, and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.

Technicians with 5+ years of mechanical experience working on heavy equipment, industrial equipment, automobiles, diesel equipment, or similar machinery may also be considered for technician-level opportunities paying $25.00–$32.00/hour. Direct forklift experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with strong transferable mechanical and diagnostic skills are encouraged to apply.
