About the Role
The Handy Family, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Swimming Pool Service Technician to join our team. We are a specialized service provider dedicated exclusively to the maintenance and repair of swimming pools. If you enjoy working outdoors, solving technical problems, and providing high-quality service to residential clients, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Please Note: This position is strictly for swimming pool services. We do not perform general handyman work or saltwater conversions.
Key Responsibilities
Routine Maintenance: Perform weekly pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing pool surfaces.
Water Chemistry: Test water quality and apply appropriate chemicals to maintain a safe and balanced swimming environment.
Equipment Repair: Diagnose and repair pool hardware, including pumps, motors, and filtration systems.
Seasonal Services: Execute professional pool openings in the spring and winterization protocols in the fall.
Customer Service: Communicate effectively with homeowners regarding the status of their pool and any necessary repairs or upgrades.
Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in swimming pool service or a related mechanical field is preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate.
Technical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment and understand basic water chemistry.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
Reliability: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for operating company vehicles.
Professionalism: Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently while representing the company professionally at client homes.
