Job Description
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to help maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and overall curb appeal of a residential community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining attractive properties, and is willing to assist with a variety of landscaping, groundskeeping, and light maintenance responsibilities.
As a key member of the property team, you will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents while supporting day-to-day property operations.
Responsibilities- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of community grounds, parking lots, sidewalks, breezeways, and common areas.
- Pick up and properly dispose of litter, debris, and trash throughout the property.
- Empty and clean trash receptacles and pet waste stations.
- Perform landscaping duties including mowing, edging, trimming, planting, watering, and weed control.
- Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including leaf removal, snow removal, and ice control.
- Clean and maintain community amenities such as clubhouses, fitness centers, playgrounds, laundry facilities, and other shared spaces.
- Assist with apartment turnover preparation, including debris removal and basic cleaning.
- Support the maintenance team with minor repair projects and property improvement initiatives.
- Monitor grounds and common areas for safety concerns and report issues as needed.
- Help ensure the property maintains a clean, professional, and welcoming appearance at all times.
- Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or property maintenance.
- Experience operating landscaping equipment and grounds maintenance tools.
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Experience with trash removal, property cleanup, and general facility upkeep.
- Basic maintenance knowledge, including minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with residential or commercial property maintenance.
- Basic electrical, carpentry, or maintenance skills are a plus.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position is based at a residential apartment community and involves working primarily outdoors with occasional indoor responsibilities. Daily tasks include grounds maintenance, landscaping, property cleanup, amenity upkeep, and seasonal maintenance activities. Employees work closely with the maintenance and property management teams to ensure the community remains clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
