Special Education Teacher - Columbia, SC

Desired Background and Experience:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education License is required
• Prior experience managing behavioral needs in educational settings preferred
• Comfortable working with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs to address diverse learning needs
• Adapt lessons and instructional strategies for students with exceptionalities
• Work closely with general education teachers, counselors, and parents
• Maintain accurate student records and progress documentation
• Provide behavioral support and interventions as needed
• Create an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom atmosphere
• Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
