Job Title: Equipment Service/Repair Technician
Job Description
As a Service/Repair Technician, you will be responsible for servicing a variety of beverage and restaurant equipment, including carbonated and non-carbonated dispensers, fountain beverage equipment, ice makers, and juice dispensers. You will work independently with minimal supervision and participate in weekly meetings at your Service Center. The role includes the provision of a vehicle, uniforms, tools, a cell phone, and a gas card.
Responsibilities
- Receive and respond promptly to dispatched service calls based on estimated time of arrival.
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose service problems, and conduct necessary repairs.
- Check and maintain product quality, including syrup levels and machine cleanliness.
- Maintain inventory and ensure the maintenance of equipment such as parts, tools, and vehicles.
- Document all work performed and ensure proper closure of activities upon completion.
- Ensure the freshness of point of sale (POS) materials.
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
- In some locations, manage machine movement and other assigned duties.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical experience
- Troubleshooting equipment experience
- Field service experience
- Ability to lift 55 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting over 70 lbs
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- HVAC or refrigeration experience is a plus
- EPA certification to handle refrigerant is a plus
- Basic plumbing experience is beneficial
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Possession of steel-toed shoes (uniforms provided)

Work Environment
Technicians will be trained in Fargo for 3-4 weeks and dispatched from home daily. You will service equipment at various locations, including retail stores, movie theaters, gas stations, grocery stores, hotels, and restaurants. Expect to work 50-60 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, with rare overnight stays. Start times vary, but all drive time is compensated. The role is suited for those with a general mechanical ability and willingness to learn.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bismarck, ND.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
