We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Plano, Texas on a Contract basis. This role will lead core accounting operations, oversee financial reporting, and provide timely insight that supports business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to strengthen processes while maintaining accuracy across daily and month-end activities.

Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and guide the team in producing accurate financial records and reporting.
• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle to ensure deadlines are met and results are reported on time.
• Oversee general ledger activity and maintain a reliable financial reporting structure that supports clear and consistent reporting.
• Monitor cash activity, manage banking needs, and perform cash flow analysis to support operational planning.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts in partnership with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Review accounting transactions, compliance-related activities, and payroll processing to maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Establish project-level financial tracking and ensure expenses and revenue are recorded correctly.
• Improve accounting workflows, introduce more efficient procedures, and support special analyses or projects as needed.• 10+ years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years leading or supervising accounting staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is strongly preferred.
• Strong command of accounting principles and experience applying them in a hands-on business environment.
• Proven ability to deliver timely financial statements, manage month-end close, and maintain accurate reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis functions.
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and strong overall Microsoft Office skills.
• Demonstrated strength in process improvement, systems optimization, and cash flow management.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
