This direct hire opportunity seeks an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a rapidly growing non-sterile compounding mail-order pharmacy with locations in Gilbert, AZ, and West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ. This hands-on role requires a highly knowledgeable professional who excels in pharmacy operations, patient counseling, and regulatory compliance within a 503A facility.
A strong candidate will hold an active pharmacist license in AZ or NJ based on their preferred work location and possess 3–5 years of pharmacy experience, ideally within mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding settings. A robust understanding of both state and federal laws is essential.
The organization favors candidates licensed on the West Coast—particularly CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, or CO—to help broaden their national footprint. Previous PIC or pharmacy management experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with PioneerRx is a plus but not mandatory, as training is provided. Please note, only local candidates near the Gilbert, AZ, or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ locations will be considered at this time, as relocation assistance has not been authorized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescriptions accurately, providing thorough patient counseling.
- Supervise pharmacy personnel and uphold compliant SOPs and standards.
- Manage inventory controls, including controlled substances and documentation.
- Address patient inquiries promptly while ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Maintain regulatory compliance across licensed states.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Occasional weekend coverage may be required as the pharmacy grows.
Qualified candidates eager to take on a working PIC role within a dynamic mail-order pharmacy environment are encouraged to apply and help shape the future of this expanding organization.
Compensation for this position ranges from $60.00 to $65.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
