Robert Half Management Resources is seeking experienced Seasonal Senior Tax Preparers and Tax Managers to support our well-respected public accounting and business management firm client based in Los Angeles, through the upcoming filing season. These consultants will focus on the preparation and review of complex individual and pass-through entity tax returns for high-net-worth clients and closely held businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for tax professionals who can quickly integrate into an established tax team, work independently, and contribute immediately during a high-demand filing period.


Responsibilities:

• Preparation and/or review of intricate tax filings for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and S corporations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

• Evaluate trial balances, financial statements, and supporting schedules to identify issues and prepare complete tax workpapers.

• Interpret and apply complex K-1 reporting, including allocations tied to substantial real estate holdings and other layered investments.

• Coordinate and complete California and multi-state tax compliance assignments, including related calculations and supporting documentation.

• Investigate tax questions, perform technical research, and recommend practical solutions aligned with applicable regulations.

• Partner with managers, directors, and firm leadership to keep engagements on schedule and meet critical filing deadlines during peak season.

• Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation in a paperless tax environment while upholding high standards for file quality.

• Contribute immediately to an established tax team by independently managing assigned work and supporting high-demand seasonal deliverables.

• At least 5 years of public accounting tax experience for the preparer and 8 years of public accounting tax experience in a manager-level capacity.

• Demonstrated expertise with taxation for high-net-worth individuals and pass-through entities.

• Prior experience in private client services, business management, family office environments, or mid-to-large public accounting firms.

• Proven ability to prepare and review low-volume, high-complexity tax returns with strong attention to detail.

• Hands-on proficiency with CCH Axcess is required.

• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze financial data efficiently.

• Strong background in California and multi-state taxation; exposure to international tax matters is a plus.

• CPA preferred
