Position: High School Special Education Teacher
Location: Greenwich, CT area
Term: 2026/2027 Full School Year
Status: Full-Time Contract (37.5 Hours/Week)
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Special Education Teacher for a full-year contract assignment. As a contract professional in this program, you will work in a supportive, resource-rich environment designed to provide specialized instruction, modify curriculum, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for high school students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they can successfully achieve their academic, social, and transitional goals.
Key Position Details
- Employment Type: W2 Contract
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Caseload: High school students requiring special education services and support
- Compensation: Competitive hourly pay based on experience
Requirements: To be considered for this contract position, candidates MUST possess:
- A valid Conneticut Teaching Certification with a Special Education endorsement (7-12 or PK-12)
- Demonstrated experience or strong clinical knowledge in writing, implementing, and monitoring progress for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Previous experience or a strong student-teaching/clinical interest in working with high school-age special needs students, including knowledge of post-secondary transition planning
Candidates who are not fully licensed or who will not be licensed before the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year will NOT be considered.
