Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience teaching in self-contained classrooms, especially with K-1st grade preferred
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and relevant documentation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Enthusiastic about adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement targeted lesson plans to meet students’ unique educational goals
• Modify curriculum and classroom activities to foster inclusivity and growth
• Manage all aspects of a self-contained classroom including behavioral support and progress monitoring
• Participate in IEP meetings and work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and staff
• Provide consistent feedback to students and families regarding progress and goals
