Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the Board of Education of Calvert County for a full-time assignment beginning ASAP and continuing through July 30, 2027, including summer services. This position will primarily support infants and toddlers, helping them develop the functional skills needed for success in daily routines and early learning environments.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and assess students' fine motor, sensory, developmental, and functional needs
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
Provide direct occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers
Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in meetings and contribute to student service plans
Maintain timely and accurate documentation
Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
Active Maryland Occupational Therapist license or eligibility
Previous pediatric, school-based, or early intervention experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively with infants, toddlers, families, and educational teams
