Electrical Quality Inspector
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an Electrical Quality Inspector for a company in Kenner, LA. This position focuses on inspecting and testing electrical products before they ship to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. You will read electrical schematics, use testing tools like a multimeter, and troubleshoot issues across both AC and DC systems. This role fits someone who works with accuracy, documents results clearly, and can identify what caused a defect so it can be corrected.
Pay Rate
$23.05-$28.20 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
Electrical Quality Inspector Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test outgoing electrical products to confirm they meet required specifications and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to verify correct assembly and wiring.
  • Use testing equipment and measurement tools, including a multimeter, to check continuity, voltage, resistance, and overall function.
  • Perform troubleshooting on electrical circuits using schematics and test results to locate faults.
  • Verify performance on both AC and DC electrical systems as part of routine inspection.
  • Identify nonconforming parts or workmanship issues and separate product that does not meet standards.
  • Document inspection findings, test results, and any defects in a clear and consistent manner.
  • Support root cause analysis by reporting what was found, where it was found, and what conditions were present during testing.
  • Communicate quality concerns to production and leadership so corrections can be made and repeated issues are reduced.
  • Follow all safety requirements and quality procedures while working on the floor and around electrical equipment.
  • Maintain an organized work area and keep testing tools in proper working condition.
Electrical Quality Inspector Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Electrical or electronic training required.
  • Additional certifications or quality related training is a plus.
  • Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of AC and DC electricity and basic electrical theory.
  • Proven ability to read electrical schematics and apply them during inspection and troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable using a multimeter and other measurement tools as part of daily work.
  • Detail oriented with strong organization and documentation skills.
  • Able to work independently while also supporting the team when needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to support root cause analysis.
