Clinical Pharmacist | Torrance, California

Enhance patient care by delivering expert clinical pharmacy services within a dynamic inpatient setting. This opportunity offers a chance to work across a large health system that includes numerous ambulatory care and outpatient clinics along with several hospitals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy support in an inpatient environment.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy plans.
• Ensure the safe, effective distribution and management of medications.
• Actively participate in patient care rounds, offering valuable input to clinical decision-making.
• Maintain strict adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

• PGY1 residency strongly preferred; however, all candidates with solid inpatient pharmacy experience are encouraged to apply.
• Minimum of two years recent inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Valid pharmacist license and current certifications as required.
• Ability to successfully pass a competency examination (one attempt only).
• Successful completion of a background check (Livescan).

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts with flexible availability for first and second shifts.
• Occasional third shifts may be required.
• Variable days/afternoons with option for four 10-hour shifts per week in some cases.

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA, with specific assignment in the Torrance area.

This contract role ranges from 4 to 12 months and often provides an excellent pathway to a permanent position within the health system.
