Job Summary:

RDR is seeking a Water Transfer Construction Superintendent to round out the Utility Line Repair and Maintenance Division. Superintendent will report to the division manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the project oversight and scheduling as well as resource and material coordination.
  • Manage and push production across multiple crews.
  • Supervise and direct daily duties for foreman and leads.
  • Assign daily tasks and coach and discipline crew members as necessary.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple crews and adjust timelines for delays or change orders.
  • Monitor project expenditures to stay within the established construction budget.
  • Complete and submit work orders for invoicing.
  • Advertise and sell work to potential customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Attend bid meetings.
  • Assist with interviews and mentor new crew members including laborers and specialized subcontractors to ensure adherence to processes and policies.
  • Schedule equipment services and maintenance.
  • Order and track material and equipment inventory to prevent workflow interruptions.
  • Ensure safety and compliance by enforcing OSHA standards and other local health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety observations to prevent injuries and maintain a secure environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Preferred Qualification:

  • 2-5 years of foreman or managing experience
  • Experience fusing HDPE and installation of environmental controls
  • Strong background in water transfer construction
