Work With Kids ABA Therapy Position

One Step Forward is looking for an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician to work one on one with children with autism in Jersey City and nearby Hudson County communities.

You'll help children develop communication, social, behavioral, and everyday living skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), with an experienced BCBA providing ongoing supervision and support.

Pay: $22–$32 per hour based on experience. This is a part time position with consistent weekday afternoon and early evening opportunities.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Behavior Technician, you'll work directly with a child using an individualized ABA treatment program developed and supervised by a BCBA.

You'll:

• Provide one on one in home ABA therapy

• Teach communication, social, play, adaptive, and daily living skills

• Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs

• Use ABA strategies such as reinforcement, prompting, and behavior intervention techniques

• Collect data to track progress

• Complete electronic session documentation

• Communicate regularly with your supervising BCBA

Schedule

We're currently looking for team members with weekday after school availability, primarily during afternoon and early evening hours.

Consistent availability is important so you can build a strong relationship with your client and maintain a regular weekly schedule.

Who We're Looking For

Previous ABA experience.

You may be a great fit if you have experience as an:

• ABA Therapist

• Behavior Technician

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

• Paraprofessional

• Special education aide

• Behavioral health professional

Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.

Reliable transportation, professionalism, strong communication skills, and consistency with scheduled sessions are important for this position.
