NextStep in is looking for an EMF EOD Technician for the USAF AFCEC EOD Equipment Management Services located at Hill AFB in Ogden, Utah.


Job Description:

Provide comprehensive Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) equipment management and sustainment support for the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC/CXD). Services include inspection, testing, repair, upgrades, distribution, asset visibility reviews, equipment reconstitution, and strategic fielding support. Manage BARS individual equipment, conduct trends analysis, and provide EOD Information Systems Support (EODISS). Operate the EOD Equipment Management Facility at Hill AFB and provide additional program and liaison support at Tyndall AFB and Stump Neck Annex, Indian Head, MD.


Job Duties:

  • Maintain equipment accountability at all times.
  • Manage end-to-end control for the broken or damaged equipment repair process; oversee the receipt, inspection along with an initial condition assessment, and coordinate repair of incoming equipment and shipments.
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) inspections on equipment repaired by vendors; if the situation permits, verify cleanliness, functionality, and component repair prior to redeployment to EOD Flights. Track and then report any materiel deficiencies to EMF Site Lead or Logistics Program Manager.
  • Make equipment inventory adjustments to meet modernization of Unit Type Code (UTC) requirements and changes that are directed by HAF or AFCEC/CXD.
  • Execute final disposition and sundown instructions for end-of-life cycle EOD assets; ensure strict compliance with AFCEC/CXD instructions to dispose of high dollar EOD equipment.
  • Maintain all pertinent electronic and hard copy files associated with the EMF operations, equipment receipt, repair, and final disposition instructions. Identify materiel deficiencies and record them in EODIMS.
  • Coordinate travel plans and arrangements; ensure travel authorizations are submitted and approved prior to travel.
  • Maintains strict operational compliance; actively adhere to all Department of War (DoW), Department of the Air Force (DAF), and Next Step Technology (NST) policies, instructions, and directives to ensure absolute regulatory alignment and operational security. Report any violations of policy to Site or Program Leads.

Qualifications:

Education Level: No degree requirements

Years of Experience: 5 years EOD experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Familiar with inspecting, testing, repairing, upgrading, and maintaining EOD specialized tools and equipment. Familiar with ARIS, COLTS, and DPAS

Certifications: Graduate of Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD) and familiar with AF EOD equipment
