Analyst, Operations & Analytics
Job Description
Reporting jointly into the Associate Director, Commercial Operations & Strategy and the Head of Product Supply, the Analyst, Operations & Analytics supports the data, analytics, and operational infrastructure behind Orca Bio's launch of TREGZI — working cross-functionally with supply chain, logistics, technical operations, commercial, and new product planning teams. A central part of the role is Project Sonar, Orca Bio's organization-wide AI enablement work stream, where this individual will translate business needs from across functions into working AI solutions.
AI Enablement - Project Sonar
- Serve as a forward-deployed engineer (FDE) on Project Sonar, Orca Bio's organization-wide AI enablement work stream — embedding with teams across commercial, supply, logistics, tech operations, manufacturing, and others to understand how work gets done and where AI can remove friction.
- Translate business needs into AI-developed solutions: scope the problem with the function, build and iterate on the solution directly with our engineering team, and hand-off a working tool.
- Build and maintain AI agents, assistants, and automated workflows using the company's approved AI platforms.
Data, Systems, & Analytics
- Lead ongoing maintenance of the enterprise data ecosystem (Salesforce, PowerBI/Tableau, ERP, data warehouse, CRM integration) and the reporting infrastructure supporting performance tracking and business decision-making.
- Support maintenance of US demand and revenue forecasts for TREGZI, and connect commercial demand signals to supply, manufacturing, and capacity planning.
Supply Chain, Logistics & Technical Operations
- Support supply chain and logistics planning — including chain-of-identity/chain-of-custody workflows, courier and shipping coordination, and scheduling across collection, manufacturing, and infusion.
- Build and maintain trackers, dashboards, and analyses for manufacturing throughput, slot utilization, turnaround time, on-time delivery, and deviations.
- Partner with Technical Operations on capacity modeling, scenario planning, and analyses that inform manufacturing and network decisions.
- Support site activation and onboarding: track engagement and readiness metrics, maintain trackers across the qualified-center footprint, and support communications and workflows for treatment and transplant center onboarding.
Strategy & New Product Planning
- Support market sizing, landscape research, and opportunity assessments for pipeline programs across a range of indications.
- Bachelor's degree in a life sciences or related scientific field (biology, biochemistry, public health, or similar).
- 0–2 years of experience; new graduates or those with 1–2 years in consulting or biopharma are welcome to apply.
- Demonstrated interest in cell and gene therapy, through coursework, research, internships, or applied experience.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills, with comfort working across data and systems.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) and genuine curiosity about applying them to real business problems.
- Exposure to CRM/BI platforms (Salesforce, Tableau, PowerBI) a plus, though not required.
- Hands-on experience building with AI — prompt engineering, agent or workflow automation, light scripting (Python, SQL) — a strong plus.
- Curiosity, comfort with ambiguity, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, launch-focused environment.
