Job Description
The Installation Coordinator will support projects from the time an order is received through final installation and completion. This person will serve as a key point of contact for customers, coordinate schedules and deliveries, monitor project progress, and help resolve issues that could impact timelines.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, communicates confidently with customers and internal teams, and can stay organized while juggling a high volume of details.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary contact for customers throughout the order and installation process.
- Coordinate project timelines, schedules, deliveries, and installation activities.
- Monitor orders and shipments to ensure products arrive as expected and on schedule.
- Respond promptly to customer questions and provide updates throughout the project.
- Communicate with installation teams and field personnel to confirm project status and address issues.
- Research and resolve challenges such as damaged products, backorders, order discrepancies, and changes.
- Track outstanding items and follow up through final project completion.
- Partner with subcontractors and internal teams to obtain labor estimates and project-related information.
- Prepare and distribute necessary documentation to support deliveries and installations.
- Participate in customer, vendor, and internal project meetings.
- Maintain accurate project information and ensure deadlines and follow-up items stay on track.
- Provide general administrative and team support as needed.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of professional customer service, client services, coordination, or administrative experience.
- Strong client-facing experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Proactive approach to identifying issues and following through to resolution.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of moving pieces.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
- Professional, enthusiastic, analytical, and team-oriented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Experience in office furniture, design, construction, installation, or a related environment is a plus.
- College degree preferred.

- Assignment: Contract position supporting a maternity leave.
- Contract Length: September through January.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
- Work Arrangement: 100% onsite in Rockville, MD.
- Pay Rate: $25–$28/hour.
- Overtime: Available at the discretion of management.
- Interview Process: Initial assessment followed by one in-person interview.
