Reports To: Staff Accountant / Accounting Supervisor
Department: Finance & Accounting
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Representative who is currently pursuing a degree in Accounting. This entry-level position is designed for someone who wants to gain practical, hands-on experience while completing their education.
The Finance Representative will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial and administrative responsibilities and work closely with Staff Accountants and Accounting Supervisors. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting student to apply classroom knowledge in a professional environment and develop a strong foundation in accounting and finance.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Staff Accountants with daily accounting and financial activities.
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions.
Enter and maintain financial information in accounting systems.
Assist with monthly accounting close activities and checklists.
Collect, organize, and maintain invoices, receipts, and supporting financial documentation.
Assist with account reconciliations and research discrepancies.
Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
Assist with reviewing revenue, expenses, and other financial activity.
Provide financial information and documentation to internal teams as requested.
Follow up on missing or outstanding financial information.
Assist with audits, financial reviews, budgeting, and special projects.
Communicate discrepancies, questions, or potential delays to the Staff Accountant or Accounting Supervisor.
Follow established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Learn and utilize accounting systems, Excel, and other financial technology.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Accounting coursework completed or in progress.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to learn new systems, software, and processes quickly.
Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
Previous office, accounting, finance, or internship experience is a plus but not required.

As the employee progresses through their degree and develops their accounting skills, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and potentially advance into a Staff Accountant or other finance-related position.
