We are looking for an energetic, compassionate, and positive Recreation Aide to join our busy Activities Department. No previous experience is required—we provide on-the-job training!
Schedule:
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Recreation Aide ResponsibilitiesLead social, recreational, and leisure activities in individual and group settings.
Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests, abilities, and preferences.
Help create meaningful programs that promote residents’ quality of life, independence, and self-esteem.
Assist the Activity Director with planning and coordinating the monthly activity calendar.
Prepare activity areas and organize necessary supplies.
Document resident attendance, participation, and responses to activities.
Develop positive and respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
Assist residents during activities while maintaining their dignity, safety, and comfort.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Activity Director.
No previous experience required.
Energetic, patient, compassionate, creative, and dependable.
Enjoys working with older adults and creating a fun, welcoming environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work scheduled weekends and holidays as needed.
