Position Overview:

ThermAvant is seeking a full-time CNC Machinist to operate Haas vertical machining centers to produce high quality precision parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform work per ThermAvant’s safety practices and standard operating procedures.
• Interact with engineers and manufacturing personnel to deliver products that meet design and quality requirements.
• Inspect work to ensure requirements are met, and complete required paperwork to account for production and quality activity.
• Trouble-shoot and resolve manufacturing process issues.
• Develop cost saving measures through the continuous improvement process (Kaizen).
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Able to pass a background check.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
• Ability to measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Basic shop math skills (i.e. convert between different units of measurement).
• Knowledge of G-code for proofing programs.
• Ability and willingness to learn, adapt quickly, and be cross trained.
• Good hands-on aptitude for mechanical systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Desirable Skills:

• Prior CNC machine or programming experience.
