Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center (MWCHC) has an exciting full time employment opportunity available for a skilled, resourceful and motivated Family Nurse Practitioner who would like to make a difference in the lives of others in helping a non-for-profit organization fulfill its mission to provide quality health care in Nashville, TN. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Family Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for the provision of medical care including, but not limited to, examining patients to obtain information about their physical condition, making tentative diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients, compiling and recording patient medical data and performing therapeutic procedures.

Required Education/Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program required
  • Current Tennessee State Licensure for Advanced Practice Nurse
  • Current D.E.A. Certificate
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
  • 2-3 years in a community health/safety-net setting, preferred
  • Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
