We are seeking an experienced Process Technician to support our injection molding operations. This role is responsible for maintaining stable and efficient molding processes, troubleshooting production issues, improving product quality, reducing scrap, and supporting continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has hands-on injection molding experience and can do more than simply keep machines running. You should be able to analyze process data, identify root causes, make process adjustments, and take ownership of key performance metrics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track assigned KPIs and take corrective action when performance falls below established goals.
  • Troubleshoot injection molding processes and identify root causes of quality, scrap, and production issues.
  • Make process adjustments to improve quality, cycle times, scrap rates, and overall efficiency.
  • Perform mold changes and prepare presses for production.
  • Complete process sheets, startup/shutdown checklists, and change logs accurately.
  • Monitor and adjust colorant ratios and verify material and color loads.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and cosmetic requirements are met.
  • Use SPC and process data to identify trends and support continuous improvement.
  • Change robotic EOAT and load programs through robot controllers.
  • Troubleshoot robotic and process-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Complete tooling work orders when molds require Tool Room support.
  • Train and assist entry-level molding technicians.
  • Maintain robots, EOAT, equipment, machines, and work areas in an organized condition.
  • Support 5S standards and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Provide technician coverage during vacations and absences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of injection molding or related process technology experience.
  • Proven experience performing injection molding mold changes.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and troubleshooting.
  • Practical understanding of Scientific Process Development principles.
  • Experience with KPI tracking, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process data analysis.
  • Experience working with robotics; FANUC 6-axis experience is a plus.
  • RJG Master Molder I certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
