Certified Teacher

Full-Time | 10-Month Position | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Bright Beginners Academy Bensalem is seeking a dedicated Certified Preschool Teacher to join our team. This full-time, 10-month position is responsible for developing and implementing an engaging curriculum that supports the academic, developmental, and social-emotional growth of children in our care.

Our classrooms are inclusive and serve children with a variety of needs, including children on the Autism Spectrum. As part of MCC Family Services, our center has access to on-site behavioral support services to provide additional support for both students and staff.

Bright Beginners Academy is a Keystone STARS 4 center and maintains partnerships with CHOP, the local Intermediate Unit, and Early Intervention Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate classroom curriculum and activities
• Support the academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth of children
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain classroom routines and provide appropriate supervision throughout the day
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and caregivers
• Communicate with families regarding children's progress and classroom activities
• Collaborate with classroom staff, behavioral support professionals, and other service providers
• Support children with varying developmental and behavioral needs
• Maintain required classroom documentation and follow center and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, Social Work, or another Human Services field
• Valid Early Childhood Education Certification, including Instructional I, Instructional II, or Private Academic Certification
• Must meet Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements for preschool classrooms
• Special Education Certification preferred, but not required
• Previous Pre-K Counts experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to successfully complete all required employment clearances and screenings, including:

  • FBI Fingerprinting
  • NSOR Clearance
  • Drug Screening
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption
