Employees will be responsible for cleaning production areas, manufacturing equipment, equipment parts, floors, walls, drains, platforms, overhead surfaces, and other assigned facility areas.

Some assignments will include:

  • Master Sanitation Schedule cleaning
  • Production-equipment sanitation
  • Equipment disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly
  • Cleaning in Place support
  • Cleaning Out of Place activities
  • Chemical preparation and handling
  • Detailed and periodic facility cleaning
  • Sanitation documentation and recordkeeping

Primary Responsibilities

Sanitation Technicians will:

  • Follow cGMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, food-safety requirements, and site safety procedures.
  • Complete assigned sanitation tasks safely and within the established schedule.
  • Use approved chemicals, tools, and cleaning methods.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Follow chemical-safety and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
  • Inspect cleaned equipment and surfaces for residue, buildup, damage, or other sanitation concerns.
  • Report equipment damage, missing parts, unsafe conditions, pest activity, chemical concerns, or incomplete cleaning.
  • Correct cleaning deficiencies when re-cleaning is required.
  • Complete Master Sanitation Schedule records, equipment-cleaning records, chemical records, and sanitation logs accurately.
  • Maintain control of equipment parts, tools, gaskets, fasteners, and cleaning supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with Sanitation, Quality, Production, Facilities, Maintenance, and Safety personnel.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings, safety meetings, training, and shift handoffs.

Candidate Requirements

Qualified candidates should have:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • The ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • The ability to read and follow safety procedures, chemical labels, sanitation instructions, and cleaning records.
  • The ability to work around water, sanitation chemicals, production equipment, powders, noise, and wet surfaces.
  • The ability to stand and walk for most of an eight-hour shift.
  • The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work first shift, Monday through Friday.

Previous experience in food manufacturing, dietary supplements, industrial sanitation, production, warehouse operations, maintenance, or equipment cleaning is preferred.

Experience with CIP, COP, Master Sanitation Schedules, cGMPs, equipment disassembly, chemical-concentration testing, or Lockout/Tagout is a plus.
