Associate Financial Advisor
Job Description
About the role
Breiter Wealth Management is a registered investment advisor serving high-net-worth families. We're hiring an entry-level financial advisor to help service an established book of clients.
This is a service and planning role, not a sales role. You will not be asked to prospect, cold call, or hit an asset-gathering quota. You'll be paid a base salary plus a performance bonus — not a production grid. The purpose of this seat is to develop a technically excellent advisor over time, working alongside senior advisors on real client relationships from day one.
What you'll do
- Support senior advisors across a book of high-net-worth client relationships — meeting prep, agendas, follow-up items, and documentation
- Build and maintain financial plans: retirement income, Social Security claiming, Roth conversion strategy, Medicare/IRMAA planning, tax-aware withdrawal sequencing
- Run analysis in our proprietary planning software and translate the output into recommendations clients can act on
- Sit in client meetings, take ownership of follow-through, and progressively lead portions of the conversation
- Handle service requests end to end: account opening and transfers, distributions, beneficiary updates, custodian coordination
- Maintain accurate client records and support our compliance and documentation standards
- Grow toward lead-advisor responsibility for your own client relationships
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree
- Securities license required. Series 65 strongly preferred. If you are not yet licensed, we'll consider candidates who commit to passing the Series 65 within 30 days of hire.
- Genuine interest in the CFP® designation; we support the coursework and exam
- Careful, detail-driven work habits — in this seat, follow-through is the job
- Clear, plain-English writing and speaking; comfort in a room with successful people who ask hard questions
- Real comfort with technology; Excel fluency expected, curiosity about AI tools a plus
- 0–3 years of experience. Recent graduates and career changers are encouraged to apply.
Please note: we are not a broker-dealer. We do not hold Series 7 registrations and cannot maintain yours. Candidates coming from a wirehouse or broker-dealer environment should understand that a Series 7 will go inactive. Series 65 is the license that matters here.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary plus annual performance bonus — no commissions, no production requirement
- Firm support for Series 65, CFP® coursework, and continuing education
- Health Insurance, Retirement Plan with match
- Defined path toward lead-advisor responsibility
