SUMMARY

  • Collaborate with upper management in establishing and recommending realistic sales goals for the company.
  • Manage an assigned geographic sales area and product line to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
  • Establish and manage effective programs to compensate and develop the sales channel.
  • Actively develop new customers, and win design qualifications to grow sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Gain an understanding of the customer base in the region, and formulate strategies to grow revenue.

Perform sales activities at major accounts and negotiate sales price and discounts in consultation with upper management.

Develop proficiency of product knowledge, with a clear understanding of product operation and offering.

Manage the outside sales channel, comprising of sales representatives and distributors.

Reviews progress of sales through the year to ensure that they meet or exceed goals.

Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams, as well as manage expense budgets for the region.

Coordinate with the sales engineer, product coordinator and Inside Sales, to close out action items.

Assist sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers.

Collaborate with management team to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.

Work with the sales channel to continually identify new markets and customers to pursue.

Conduct regular training with sales representative and distributors to market the newest products.

Travel through assigned territory, including Japan and other Asian/European countries, to call on regular and prospective customers to win business.

Prepare pricing quotes, and make decisions on profitability.

Manage delivery schedules to customer, and bear responsibility of meeting deadlines and forecasts.

Prepare territory updates and monthly and quarterly management meetings.

Develops and maintains relationships with Customer/Distributor/Rep key contacts.

Attend trade shows.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct Sales profit/loss management.

Explain, demonstrate and give feedback on performance. Encourage and reinforce representative and distributor in order to lead them.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business field or (B.S.) in engineering, and/or over 7 years business experience in an electronics related industry.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
