Location: Minneapolis, MN
Contract: 3 months, with potential for extension based on business needs
Pay Rate: $20–$24/hour on W2
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3+ days per week onsite in Minneapolis
Schedule: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM initially; after training, hours may have some flexibility around 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to support a banking operations team in Minneapolis. This position will help clear an existing operational backlog and support ATM conversion activities.
The role is ideal for someone with experience in accounting, banking operations, reconciliation, transaction processing, or financial operations who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, productivity, and meeting daily goals are important.
You will work as part of a team of approximately 18 team members, primarily based in Minneapolis.
Key Responsibilities
- Process transactions and reconcile and maintain various accounts and ledgers.
- Research financial discrepancies and identify the cause of overages, shortages, and other exceptions.
- Perform account balancing and reconciliation activities.
- Run appropriate accounting adjustments and corrections.
- Support General Ledger (GL) uploads and related accounting activities.
- Review, verify, and post financial data accurately.
- Clear outstanding items and exceptions within established procedures.
- Maintain accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transactions processed.
- Research and resolve discrepancies and make appropriate corrections or adjustments.
- Respond to and resolve operational inquiries.
- Prepare routine financial reports and analyses.
- Support daily processing goals and Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements.
- Work with a high volume of transactions while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy.
- Help mitigate potential financial and operational risk by identifying and resolving exceptions.
- Support ATM-related reconciliation and conversion activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant accounting, banking, financial operations, reconciliation, or related experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to research discrepancies and resolve exceptions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer navigation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

- Accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Banking operations experience.
- Account reconciliation experience.
- ATM reconciliation experience.
- Cash balancing or cash reconciliation experience.
- Experience researching overages and shortages.
- General Ledger (GL) experience.
- Experience processing accounting adjustments.
- Financial transaction processing experience.
- Experience working with high-volume transactions and daily productivity goals.
