Line Prep Cook

Core Responsibilities

• Perform prep cook duties, including portioning, chopping, and stocking ingredients for daily service
• Work as kitchen expo, ensuring accuracy, timing, and presentation of all outgoing dishes
• Operate the grill station, cooking proteins to proper temperature and specification
• Operate the sauté station, preparing pasta dishes, sauces, and composed entrées
• Operate the fry station, maintaining oil quality and consistent product
• Handle garde manger duties, including salads, cold apps, and dessert plating
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary station at all times
• Follow recipes and portioning guidelines to ensure consistency across shifts
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff during service
• Restock and rotate inventory (FIFO) to minimize waste
• Uphold all food safety and health code standards

Requirements

• Prior line cook experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
• Ability to work multiple stations and rotate as needed
• Ability to work long hours on your feet in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Team-oriented attitude with clear communication skills
• Food handler's certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
