About the Role:
Bridge Community Development Center Mississippi is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant/Behavior Support specialist to join our team in Greenville, MS. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct personal care assistance to individuals in home and community-based settings
- Implement individualized behavior support plans to promote positive outcomes
- Assist clients with daily living activities including hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
- Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and any incidents accurately
- Support community integration by accompanying clients to appointments, activities, and outings
- Collaborate with care teams, families, and supervisors to ensure consistent, person-centered support
- Apply de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications in personal care or behavioral support preferred
- Prior experience in personal care, behavioral health, or human services strongly preferred
- Knowledge of behavior support strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based assignments
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements
