Lead Qualification Specialist

Location: Lewisville, TX 75057 (On-Site)
Duration: 5 month contract (potential to extend)
Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00 per hour (DOE)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Qualification Specialist to support the sales organization by identifying, researching, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities for the outside sales team.

This position will initially focus on managing and organizing a high volume of incoming leads, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate data management, and effective prioritization of opportunities. As responsibilities evolve, the role will include outbound prospecting, identifying buying signals, engaging prospective customers, gathering decision-maker information, and scheduling appointments for sales representatives.

This is a pilot position created to evaluate the impact of a dedicated lead qualification and appointment-setting function. Based on performance and business needs, there may be potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Experience researching prospects through LinkedIn, company websites, and other business resources
  • B2B sales support experience

Team Structure

The Lead Qualification Specialist will support a team of sales representatives and sales managers.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to the Senior Inside Sales Manager
  • Partners closely with Sales Managers and Sales Representatives
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to support lead generation and opportunity development

Work Arrangement

Following the initial training period, the schedule will generally consist of:

  • Remote: Monday, Thursday, and Friday
  • In Office: Tuesday and Wednesday

Key Responsibilities

Initial Focus

  • Review, organize, and prioritize incoming leads
  • Research prospects and verify contact information
  • Identify buying signals and potential opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM records
  • Ensure timely lead follow-up

Evolving Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting calls
  • Identify and qualify key decision-makers
  • Schedule appointments for sales representatives
  • Nurture and develop new business opportunities
  • Support overall pipeline growth

Success Metrics

Performance will be measured using a combination of activity, quality, and outcome-based metrics.

Activity Metrics

  • Leads reviewed and dispositioned daily
  • Outbound calls completed

  • CRM accuracy and maintenance

Quality Metrics

  • Lead response time
  • Accuracy of contact information
  • Completeness of lead records
  • Lead acceptance rate by the sales team

Outcome Metrics

  • Qualified appointments generated
  • Qualified opportunities passed to sales
  • Pipeline value influenced
  • Revenue generated from sourced opportunities

Initial Performance Targets

Targets may be adjusted as processes mature and business needs evolve.

  • Process and qualify 50-75 leads per day
  • Complete 40-60 outbound calls per day
  • Generate 5-10 qualified appointments per week
  • Consistently identify new decision-makers and buying opportunities

Position Purpose

The purpose of this role is to increase prospecting capacity, improve lead conversion, identify buying signals, and generate qualified opportunities. The position enables the sales team to spend more time selling and less time researching, serving as a key contributor to overall sales effectiveness and pipeline growth.
