Personal Injury Legal Assistant

Location: Stuart, FL
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent / Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Setting: Fully Onsite
Pay: $22.00 per hour + two bonuses per year

Job Description

We are a professional staffing firm specializing in connecting exceptional candidates with leading employers across the country. We are currently seeking a Personal Injury Legal Assistant for a plaintiff personal injury law firm located in Stuart, FL.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented legal professional with personal injury experience who enjoys working directly with clients and supporting attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced law firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Open and maintain client case files
• Complete, scan, and organize legal forms and documents
• Draft and send correspondence and letters
• Assist with preparing and managing liens
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files
• Request and follow up with consumers for documents needed to support potential claims
• Contact clients to obtain updates regarding their physical status
• Handle general clerical and administrative duties, including mailroom responsibilities
• File and sort documents
• Upload PDF documents to electronic discovery platforms
• Perform accurate data entry
• Copy and scan documents
• Collect incoming mail and ensure it is routed appropriately
• Scan incoming mail into the appropriate client files within the case management system (ATO)
• Participate in occasional client meetings
• Communicate with potential and current clients by phone
• Provide Spanish interpretation for clients during meetings with paralegals and attorneys, when needed
• Provide phone coverage for reception as needed
• Assist attorneys, paralegals, and office staff with additional administrative tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• 1–2 years of experience working in personal injury law
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
• Professional and client-focused communication style
• Basic computer and document management skills

Preferred:

• Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred
• Experience working directly with personal injury clients
• Experience with legal case management systems or electronic discovery platforms
