Patient Care Coordinator
Scheduling and Front Desk
- Book, change, and confirm patient appointments.
- Greet patients and answer phone calls or messages.
- Manage doctor and treatment calendars to keep the office running smoothly
Patient Communication
- Answer questions about upcoming procedures and office policies.
- Help patients understand their basic care steps and instructions.
- Build trust and act as a helpful guide throughout the patient's visit
Job Requirements
- Education: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in health administration preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, basic computer use, organization, and knowledge of medical terms.
- Experience: Previous office or customer service work in a medical, dental, or clinic setting
Administration & Scheduling
- Manage intake: Register new patients and gather initial health histories.
- Schedule care: Book appointments, manage doctor referrals, and track follow-up visits.
- Keep records: Update electronic health records (EHR) accurately while maintaining strict patient privacy.
