Job Description

CONTROLLER

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and hands-on Controller to oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the company. This role is designed for a strong financial leader who can support an approximately $8 million business as it continues to scale. The Controller will be expected to understand what is happening financially throughout the business, maintain accurate books, oversee accounts receivable and payable, manage cash flow, reconcile accounts, maintain inventory accounting, monitor margins, oversee commissions, and provide leadership with reliable financial information for decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accountable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution and sales environment. This person should be capable of identifying problems before they become larger financial issues and developing systems and controls that improve accuracy, profitability, accountability, and scalability.

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the company's financial records rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done. The right person will ask questions when something does not make sense, dig into discrepancies, improve inefficient processes, and make sure leadership always has an accurate understanding of the company's financial position. This role requires someone who can see both the details and the bigger financial picture and who is excited to help build the financial infrastructure needed for continued growth.
