Digital Press Operator

The Digital Press Operator plays a critical role in the production process by efficiently setting up, operating, and maintaining digital printing presses. Working within a small team of 1-5 operators and reporting to the Production Manager, this role demands a combination of technical skill, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety standards. The operator is responsible for managing print quality through color calibration and ink management, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring timely completion of print jobs. This position requires familiarity with digital printing software and the ability to operate both hybrid/manual and software-driven presses. Occasional overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare digital presses for print runs
• Monitor print production to ensure quality and consistency
• Inspect printed materials for defects and perform quality control checks
• Maintain and service equipment to ensure optimal operation
• Calibrate colors and manage ink usage for accurate outputs
• Troubleshoot mechanical and software issues during operation
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
• Handle materials efficiently throughout the printing process
• Keep accurate records of production runs and maintenance activities

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 3+ years of experience in printing operation
• Knowledge of digital printing and press operation

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
