Drivers Wanted - in Placer, Nevada, and Yuba Counties
Job Description
We are looking for multiple drivers - Medical Transportation Driver in Nevada City, Auburn, OR Marysville / Yuba City.
This job requires a CLEAN driving record, a CLEAN drug screen, as we are on the road constantly. SAFETY is our number one priority, as we provide Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT). We need people who are safe, careful, clean, compassionate, reliable, and have excellent time management skills as we have schedules to keep and appointments to make.
You must be flexible, as our schedule changes based on appointments running short or long, last minute cancellations, add ons, hospital discharges, traffic, road construction, etc., etc.
You must have Internet access to check your schedule, and use Google maps to plan your routes.
You must have a smart phone to use for a transportation routing application, the daily schedule, as well as to communicate with the dispatcher and people you're picking up / dropping off.
A vehicle (such as a 2012 or newer Toyota Prius), would be provided for you to drive, along with a gas card. You would be responsible for taking care of the vehicle's upkeep such as keeping it clean (vacuuming, and car washes at Quick Quack with company account), and letting us know when tires, brakes, and oil changes should be checked and changed based on mileage and/or wear.
Express Ride, LLC was started in January of 2016. We serve the non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) industry. Our team helps people in Northern California get to and from their medical appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, dentist, hospital, etc. It is a constantly changing schedule, and we are looking for someone with kindness & compassion & flexibility for those in need of our help.
Requirements:
1. Pass a Drug & Alcohol 10 panel screen
2. Pass a background check
3. 5 years of clean driving history from DMV
4. Able to sit and drive long hours (i.e. to / from San Francisco, Redding, Truckee, South Lake Tahoe, etc.)
5. Available 32 - 40 hours Mon-Fri (possibly a couple hours on some Saturday mornings IF available).
6. No health issues such as anything with your back, knees, or hips, etc.
7. Able to lift a foldable wheelchair (roughly up to 40 lbs).
8. Reliable & Punctual IS A MUST!
9. Good, quick communication is necessary!
10. Good with directions & GPS - easy!
