We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Administrator to support our Human Resources department.
Responsibilities
- Receptionist duties: Answer phones, direct visitors, and handle deliveries
- Maintain accurate employee personnel records.
- Process new hires from onboarding through offboarding.
- Prepare HR documentation, such as employee offer letters, verification letters and other HR documents.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment regulations.
- Complete NYS compliance documentation such as I-9, W-4, and other required employment paperwork.
- Monitor mandatory safety training and continuing education requirements.
- Review employee timesheets for completeness and accuracy.
- Track attendance, overtime, travel time, and paid leave balances.
- Assist with payroll discrepancy investigations.
- Assist the recruitment team with job postings, interview scheduling, and the hiring process.
- Assist with special HR projects as assigned.
Experience
- 2+ years of HR administrative experience.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
- Knowledge of NYS labor laws and HR best practices.
