Accounting Clerk

Our staffing agency is seeking an experienced Part-Time Senior Accountant on behalf of a client with multiple business entities. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and daily accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities for multiple entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Manage invoicing, collections, customer statements, and cash flow reporting.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, ACH transactions, and deposits.
• Support payroll, commissions, 1099 preparation, and tax filings.
• Coordinate audits and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Set up and maintain customer and vendor accounts.
• Manage inventory, purchase orders, and related reporting.
• Generate financial reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
• Improve accounting processes and maintain system accuracy across financial platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Great Plains, Authorize.net, and other accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
