Line Cook

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Line Cook to join our team. This is a part time position of 20-30 hours/week with a balance of time on the prep line and in the kitchen, a food truck parked on site at our restaurant. Our fast casual restaurant offers a welcoming and collaborative environment with room for growth. Operating in collaboration with a nonprofit urban farm we seek to focus our menu on seasonal and local agriculture. We desire to find people who love people, enjoy hospitality, and believe in the power of doing good through teamwork and quality food and beverage service. Requirements

• ServSafe Food Handling Certificate
• Ability to work 3-4 shifts per week
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
• To assist the Chef in providing meals for daily breakfast, lunch and dinner service
• Prepares or assists in the preparation of a variety of foods in accordance with the food and safety standards
• Washes, cuts, cooks and/or re-heats food items, weighing and measuring ingredients, according to recipes and instructions
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, kitchen utensils, equipment and facilities in accordance with approved housekeeping and safety practices and guidelines
• Stocks and organizes food related items and kitchen supplies in refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, and storerooms
• Braising, grilling, sautéing, baking, roasting, frying, steaming, blanching as part of usual food prep
• Ability to interpret and execute recipes and cooking instructions provided both verbally and in writing
• Ability to set up a standard serving line

Salary Range: $20.00-$22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
