Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a highly skilled CNC Multi-Axis Lathe Operator for our client in Vancouver, WA, a long-standing leader in manufacturing of high-quality healthcare equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting DMG Mori CNC multi-axis lathes to produce precision metal components according to detailed specifications, requiring strong blueprint interpretation skills and a commitment to quality.The role will train on day shift for the first 1-2 months, then transition to the permanent schedule of swing shift (shift details further down in job description).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate DMG Mori 5-Axis Lathes, including some milling operations

  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings

  • Select and load correct programs, install appropriate tooling holders

  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality

  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

  • Troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues and make necessary adjustments

  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records in ERP system and manually

  • Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area

  • Assist with training and supporting less experienced operators as needed

  • Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, and quality teams on process improvements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Machining Technology Certificate a plus

  • 3+ years of CNC Multi-Axis Lathe experience required (DMG Mori experience preferred)

  • Strong ability to read blueprints and understand machining specifications

  • Ability to interpret G-Codes and troubleshoot machine independently as needed

  • Experience with setup, tooling selection, and offsets

  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • If selected, ability to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Schedule

  • During training period: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

  • After training period: Monday - Thursday, 3:00PM - 1:30AM, with overtime on Friday and Saturday available

Starting Pay

  • $28–$40/hr DOE w/ swing shift differential added.
