POSITION OVERVIEW
Montessori Kids Universe (MKU) Stone Oak is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and highly structured Lead Guide Teacher to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The Lead Guide Teacher serves as the senior educational leader in the classroom, responsible for driving student development, maintaining classroom structure, implementing curriculum, and modeling excellence for both students and assistant teachers.
This role is ideal for an experienced educator with strong classroom management skills, a deep passion for early childhood development, and a proven track record of employment stability and tenure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Classroom Leadership & Instruction: Lead daily classroom instruction and activities, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment aligned with early childhood educational principles.
• Child Development & Care: Support each child's cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth through individualized attention and structured learning plans.
• Team Mentorship: Direct, mentor, and serve as a professional role model for Assistant Teachers and support staff within the classroom.
• Classroom Management: Establish and maintain classroom order, routines, and positive behavioral strategies with confidence and empathy.
• Parent & Family Engagement: Build strong, trust-based relationships with families, providing consistent and professional updates regarding student progress and development.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all Texas childcare state regulations, licensing requirements, and school policies.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Age Requirement :
Must be 21 years of age or older (Mandatory).
Minimum Experience :
3+ years of professional experience working with children in a childcare, daycare, preschool, educational, or teaching environment.
Work History :
Demonstrated employment stability, tenure, and longevity in prior roles.
Language Proficiency :
Open to English-only, Spanish-only, or Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates.
Certifications (At Hire) :
No certifications required at hire. Must be willing to complete required Texas childcare certifications within 6 months of employment. CPR certification preferred at hire, or obtained post-hire.
