*This is an onsite position.
*Local to the Richmond, VA, only, please.
*This is a 6-month contract.

Description:

• Our client is actively looking for a Database Administrator 2 to assist with migrating existing databases from one hosted platform to a new hosted platform.
• Ideally, someone with knowledge of moving or migrating databases as well as systems validation after migration.
• Considerable working background in Microsoft SQL database administration.
• Architecture and troubleshooting in a working environment. Database administration and backup/recovery management.
• Working knowledge of backing up and restoring of production databases.
• The client’s SQL environment runs in a SQL Max platform hardware solution dedicated for SQL performance. The SQL version they are running ranges from 2008 - 2019.
• They also have a small Oracle footprint some experience in Oracle is great but the primary focus will be SQL.
  

Responsibilities:

• This role will fill day to daily break/fix incident response on our SQL environment.
• Other daily tasks may include utilized for running updates restore and recovery if
  or when required.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

• Administration and management of production databases, Required 5 Years
• Basic to advanced troubleshooting skills., Required 5 Years
• Backup/recovery/monitoring of databases., Required 5 Years
• Communication within a team environment with peers as well as customer facing, Required 5 Years
• Security assessment and review of database administration and access., Required 5 Years
• Design, configuration, deploying, troubleshooting, administration, and maintaining systems., Required 5 Years
• Ensuring project and workload documentation and process are accurate, on time, and stored properly, Required 5 Years
