We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke.

This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. We are welcoming new caregivers to collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams and contribute to nationally recognized, innovative neurological care. \n \nAs an RN Resident, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, granting the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply pertinent healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.

Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.

A caregiver in this position works 11:00am - 11:30pm with on-call rotation.
On call schedule consists of the following:
\n- \n
- \n
One 24-hour call on a Saturday or Sunday
\n - \n
Two weeknights (11pm-7am)
\n - \n
Three lates per 6-week schedule
\n
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
\n- \n
- \n
Provide direct nursing care.
\n
- \n
- \n
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
\n
- \n
- \n
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
\n
- \n
- \n
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
\n
- \n
- \n
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
\n
- \n
- \n
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
\n
- \n
- \n
Educate patients and their families.
\n
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
\n - \n
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
\n - \n
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
\n - \n
New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience
\n
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
\n
Physical Requirements:
\n- \n
- \n
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
\n - \n
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
\n - \n
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
\n - \n
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
\n - \n
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
\n - \n
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
\n - \n
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
\n

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range
\n \nMinimum hourly: $35.50
\n \nMaximum hourly: $55.60
\nThe pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
