Job Description
Cherry Picker Machine Operator (MHE Operator) – 2nd Shift
We are seeking an experienced Cherry Picker Machine Operator to join our second-shift warehouse team. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and performing a combination of machine operation and general warehouse labor.
Shift Hours
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 p.m.–12:45 a.m.
- Overtime is required based on business needs.
- Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends.
Work Schedule
Employees may be assigned one of the following schedules:
- 4+1 Schedule: Four weekdays plus one weekend day
- 3+2 Schedule: Three weekdays plus Saturday and Sunday
Weekend availability is mandatory. Workdays and overtime may change based on company needs.
Position Breakdown
- Approximately 50% Cherry Picker operation
- Approximately 50% general warehouse labor
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Cherry Picker to retrieve, move, and store products.
- Pick products from elevated warehouse locations accurately and efficiently.
- Load, unload, stage, and organize warehouse materials.
- Perform daily equipment inspections before operating machinery.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
- Complete general labor duties, including picking, packing, sorting, labeling, palletizing, and cleaning.
- Meet daily productivity, quality, and accuracy expectations.
- Report equipment problems, damaged products, and safety concerns immediately.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of recent Cherry Picker experience
- Experience operating Crown, Yale, or Hyster equipment
- Current and valid Cherry Picker/MHE certification
- Ability to successfully complete an equipment skills evaluation
- Willingness to perform both machine operation and general labor duties
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and required overtime
- Ability to work the full shift from 4:00 p.m. to 12:45 a.m.
- Strong attendance, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety
Important: This is not a machine-only position. Employees must be willing to spend approximately 50% of the shift operating a Cherry Picker and 50% performing general warehouse labor.
