Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) educator in a vibrant and multicultural student environment. This full-time, contract role centers on delivering engaging ELA instruction within a bilingual/dual-language (Spanish-English) classroom. You will empower students to excel academically and grow as confident communicators, making a difference every day in the lives of bilingual middle schoolers.

Ideal candidates bring a passion for teaching, the adaptability to thrive in a dynamic educational setting, and the expertise to deliver curriculum content in both English and Spanish. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues to foster an inclusive classroom and support the unique needs of each learner.

Qualifications & Desired Expertise:

  • Valid Professional Educator License
  • Required endorsements: Middle School English Language Arts and Bilingual/ESL (Spanish)
  • Demonstrated experience teaching middle school-aged students
  • Skilled in bilingual curriculum design and dual-language instruction
  • Commitment to culturally responsive teaching practices
  • Ability to create an engaging, supportive, and respectful classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and implement engaging ELA lessons for middle school students in a bilingual classroom
  • Differentiate instruction to support both English-dominant and Spanish-dominant learners
  • Assess, track, and communicate student progress using a variety of evaluation tools
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to advance student achievement
