Purchasing Manager

We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement activities and strengthen sourcing strategies for the organization in Fort Mill, South Carolina. This role will oversee purchasing operations, support cost-effective vendor partnerships, and help ensure materials and services are obtained in line with business needs. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in corporate procurement, supplier negotiations, and day-to-day purchasing processes within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end purchasing activities, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services that meet operational and budget requirements.
• Develop and refine procurement procedures to improve efficiency, consistency, and compliance across buying activities.
• Prepare, review, and manage purchase orders while maintaining accurate documentation and follow-through with suppliers.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, and contract conditions to secure favorable value for the business.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors, addressing performance, service levels, and ongoing sourcing needs.
• Oversee sourcing for indirect materials and indirect spend categories, identifying opportunities for savings and process improvement.
• Monitor market conditions, supplier trends, and product availability to support informed purchasing decisions, including perishable items where applicable.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement plans with departmental priorities and operational demand.

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply management leadership roles.

• Strong knowledge of corporate procurement practices, buying workflows, and purchase order administration.

• Demonstrated success negotiating contracts, pricing, and supplier terms.

• Experience managing vendor relationships and evaluating supplier performance.

• Background in perishable goods and direct material categories.
