Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support financial reporting, month end close, and audit readiness for our client's Las Vegas, Nevada team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial analyses, and contributing to monthly and annual reporting activities. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger experience, sound judgment in resolving accounting issues, and the ability to partner effectively with colleagues across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial, regulatory, and government reports, including quarterly and annual reporting.
• Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support cash reporting, cash flow analysis, and revenue reporting, including exception reviews.
• Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audits.
• Maintain fixed assets, depreciation, prepaid amortization, and related reconciliations.
• Support monthly reporting packages and branch financial statements.
• Research and resolve complex accounting and financial reporting questions.
• Analyze inventory accounts, including overhead, utilization, and allowances.
• Partner with departments across the organization on financial reporting matters.
• Assist with licensing/renewal reporting and special accounting projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of large corporate accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, cash reporting, fixed asset accounting, financial reporting, working with auditors and other related duties.
• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
