Job Description
Step into an impactful role supporting K-6th grade students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year. With a full 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, you'll focus on a single site serving around 70 students. Immediate start dates are available, with the contract extending as needed.
Ideal candidates bring school-based experience and are comfortable supervising an onsite Speech-Language Technician (SLT). The position requires relevant SLP licensure along with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA. Those familiar with teletherapy and flexible in delivering both in-person and remote services will thrive in this setting.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current and valid SLP license for Utah
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Direct school-based SLP experience
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is a plus
- Comfortable managing a K-6 caseload of approximately 70 students
- Open to supervising an onsite Speech-Language Technician
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide therapy sessions—both one-on-one and small group
- Collaborate with educational teams, teachers, and families
- Supervise and mentor the onsite SLT
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise
