Special Education Teacher - Cleveland, OH

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license for the state
• Experience with Multiple Disabilities and/or Emotional Disabilities preferred
• Solid understanding of BIPs (Behavior Intervention Plans), crisis intervention strategies, and social-emotional learning
• Ability to adapt instruction for non-verbal students and those with physical or cognitive impairments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of 9-12 students in an MD classroom (autism, non-verbal, physical impairments)
• Provide targeted intervention and social-emotional support for 10-15 students in an ED classroom (including BIPs and crisis management)
• Liaise with related service providers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain detailed data collection, reporting, and progress monitoring
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment for all students

This position begins August 24, 2026, and continues through June 7, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll spend your time in one dedicated building, allowing you to focus on student success and maintain continuity throughout the school year.
